Accepting New Clients
Alexandra offers a collaborative space for people navigating relationships, identity, family, and change. She is especially interested in the complexity of people's lives and believes therapy can be a place to challenge old ways of thinking, explore new possibilities, and find meaning that aligns with your values.
Relationships Issues • Trauma • ADHD • Couples • Parenting & Pregnancy • Sex & Gender Exploration • Artists & Performers
I offer therapy guided by curiosity, humor, flexibility, and collaboration. I am committed to respecting personal agency and honoring the dignity of each person's personal and cultural identities as they define them. As you are the author of your own life, my role is to create space for questions about the stories, relationships, and experiences that have shaped you. Together we can challenge previous ways of thinking and explore new possibilities, so that you can make meaningful changes on your own terms.
Identity as Friend and Partner • Intimacy and Vulnerability • Family Culture • Societal Expectations/Norms • Existential Meaning Making/Worldview • Overwhelm and the Unknown • Feeling Stuck • Procrastination, Motivation, and Time Preferences
I use narrative therapy to help create distance between who you are and the challenges you face, making it easier to view obstacles with clarity rather than seeing them as personal flaws. This perspective creates space to align your decisions with what truly matters to you.
I grew up in the Berkshires and swore I would never become a therapist, like my mother, aunts, and grandmother, though I love them dearly. Human stories always held their draw though, as did the healing profession, so naturally I became a therapist absolutely passionate about therapy.
I earned a Bachelor's in Clinical Psychology from Lesley University and a Master of Social Work from Simmons University in 2021. Throughout my 13 years in the field, I served in a variety of roles, including child development researcher at Harvard and MIT, community psychiatric health worker, and counselor supporting asylum seekers, torture survivors, teenagers, and patients seeking abortions in an OB/GYN setting. In addition, if parenting is an experience you would consider a meaningful asset in a therapist's repertoire, I would also highlight that I am mom to two exceedingly silly kids.
