Georgia offers a supportive, collaborative space for people interested in exploring the stories that have shaped their lives and discovering possibilities for how they want to move forward. She is particularly interested in how our individual experiences are shaped by relationships, culture, and larger social systems. She is open to working with anyone who is interested in taking that journey together!
LGBTQ+ folks • Trauma • Life Transitions • Couples & Relationships • Students
First and foremost, I offer a supportive space to share and navigate your unique challenges. I’ll ask you to describe the experiences that have shaped how you understand yourself while also making room for stories that may have been overlooked or pushed aside. I hope to collaborate with you to re-author your stories in ways that align with your values and preferred ways of being.
I have a more relational/conversational style and enjoy inviting humor into our conversations.
Life transitions • Meaning-making • Identifying Values + Goals • Deconstructing systems of oppression • Discovering preferred ways of being • Opening possibilities for the future
I don't see people as separate from the worlds in which they live. I'm especially interested in the ways our individual and internal experiences interact with and are shaped by relationships, culture, larger social structures, and systems of oppression.
Narrative Therapy creates opportunities to examine the stories we've inherited or been told about ourselves while becoming more curious about other stories that reflect our knowledge, resistance, values, and preferred ways of living.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with minors in Women's Studies and Prison Studies, from Vassar College and my Master of Social Work from Boston College.
I was drawn to social work because of the profession's emphasis on the dignity of every person and the importance of human relationships.
Outside of therapy, I'm a lover of books, music, movies, television, and narratives of all kinds. I am also a classically trained singer and sing in a local Boston choir as my preferred form of artistic expression.
